Fantastic ideas which, of course, are too simple and effective to be adopted. Why is it that the simplest and most effective strategies are never considered? These ideas could be quickly and easily implemented yet none are even, to my knowledge under consideration

Dr. Biggerstaff,

I'd like to suggest that because we allow non-medical people (gov't) to dictate how our healthcare system will work, we get their complicated solutions.

If we were to get people in the trenches that do the work every day to help improve our healthcare system, we'd get very different results. Successful businesses have been using SMEs (subject matter experts) to improve their processes for decades. Medicine always seems to be behind the curve.

The simply ideas are often overlooked because the people who are writing the policies lack a basic understanding of how the healthcare system works so complicated without rationale is the best they can do..
